Songs

When we were in China in October, I had no idea Will's diagnosis would come a week after we returned. Kyle was speaking to the team there and, through what he talked about concerning Joshua, I felt the Lord press me to ask Him for something specific to believe Him for for Will. And He gave it to me in a song. It was and has been an encouragement to me to continue to believe God for Will and trust Him when I am feeling hopeless. I would be most encouraged if anyone knows and could give me the passage(s) from which this came. Here's the song:

The Lord is good to those
To those who wait for Him
I will be still
And I will know that you are God
Your loving kindnesses,
Indeed they never cease.
Your compassion never fails.

Also, a beautiful surprise came yesterday. We have given each of our children a hymn and we've been singing it to them since they were born. Reese's is "Take My Life and Let It Be" and Will's is "Tis So Sweet". Yesterday, Will busted out singing the entire first verse of "his" song. It was music to my ears! Here are the words:

Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus
Just to take Him at His word
Just to rest upon His promise
Just to know thus saith the Lord

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him
How I've proved Him o'er and o'er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus
Oh for grace to trust Him more
