A French Toast Favorite

Before the strawberries and blueberries make way for pumpkins and squash, here's a yummy recipe to try:

French Toast with Blueberries & Strawberries
1 day old loaf of French bread
3 eggs
3 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cups milk
1/2 cup flour
6 Tbsp dark brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup butter
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 cup sliced strawberries

Grease 13x9 dish. Diagonally cut bread into 1" pieces and place in dish. Mix in a bowl: eggs, sugar, and vanilla. Add milk and pour over bread. Turn each side and coat well. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Heat oven to 375. Combine flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Put blueberries on top and sprinkle mixture on top of blueberries. Bake 40 minutes. Remove and place sliced strawberries on top. Serve with syrup.
