Many years ago, when I started reading Peace Child by Don Richardson, I was enraptured from the first pages. I have since re-read it several times and each time I am awestruck at the power of God and His gospel. The book is one of my favorites, so I was eager to watch the following clip about what happened among the tribal Sawi people after the last page was written.
I cried big tears as I watched this because it gives me hope that God can bring fruit from the driest of soil. And I cried because the sons of the missionaries, born in the jungle and now grown men, speak about the legacy of parents who were obedient to take the gospel into a very difficult place. I want my children to one day say that about me. And I want the people in my city to be another Sawi people.
Even if you haven't read the book, please watch this. It will encourage you to press on in whatever ministry you're in, wherever you are. (And if you're reading in Google reader, you may need to click over to the blog to actually see it.)
